Description

The Metal Chip Core is a small accessory that fits into the Superking Chips of the Superking Layer System, swapping out their standard plastic centre for one built around metal; Diabolos, Lucifer 1, Lucifer 2 and Spriggan already carry a fixed metal core and cannot take it. Takara Tomy first gave it away at wbba. events before folding it in as a standard inclusion with the Helios 2 and Hyperion 2 Superking Chips.

In play and in the story

The added half-gram of weight lengthens a Layer's spin and helps Attack Type Superking builds such as Rage hold their banking pattern longer, though the community still ranks such builds behind Dynamite Battle Layers; the WBO bars the part from its Burst GT, Burst Limited and Burst Classic formats, leaving it legal only in standard Burst play.
