The card game Japan played first
Two years before Decipher's Collision, Broccoli printed a Beyblade card game for the Japanese market: booster versions, character decks and promos with Beyblade, special-move and stadium cards, and a Korean edition sold as Top Blade.
- 299cards across 7 sets, translated card by card
- 196of them photographed
- 6sealed products documented, Japanese and Korean
How the game is built
Three card kinds make up the game. Beyblade cards are the tops: each names its bit-beast, its three toy parts (attack ring, weight disk and blade base as Takara sold them), a spin direction, an attack figure, a defense figure and a stamina count. Special Move cards carry an element and boost a Beyblade that wears a particular bit. Stadium cards change the field for every Beyblade of a given type. Colors sort the cards into six suits, and stars mark rarity, with foil printings on the rarest.
Card names follow the Japanese toy and anime names of 2001. Where an English name exists from the Nelvana dub or the Hasbro toys we use it; otherwise we translate. The Japanese text is kept beside every translation so collectors can check us. The game crossed the strait too: a Korean-language edition was sold under the Korean series name Top Blade, distributed by Sonokong, and the packs and boxes below show both.

Where this data comes from
The card list follows Broccoli's own published lists for the first three versions, as archived in 2001 and 2002, and a Japanese collector database for the rest; stats and Japanese text were transcribed card by card and the English is ours. Where a card has been listed but not yet transcribed, its page says so rather than guessing. The photographs are of the site's own cards, 196 of 299 so far. Spotted a mistranslation? The address on the about page reaches us.
