Things worth writing down

459 product facts, techniques and pieces of history the community worked out, from mould differences to how a launch is aimed.

About this page

The WBO's general board is everything that did not belong on a more specific one: 2,131 discussions. Most of it is chatter, and 867 of it belongs to a board already covered here — a tournament report, a testing thread, a question and its answer. Those were read and set aside rather than written up a second time, which is why 459 is the number and not two thousand.

What is left is the part nothing else records: that Hasbro shipped the same metal wheel in two different moulds, that a launcher's Korean release used a weaker spring, how the community names its launch angles, who Beyblade's creator is and what he made before it. Each note is our own condensation of what that discussion established, never our own knowledge. Read on September 19, 2026; each links to its discussion.

    History of all Beyblade

A member wrote a franchise overview describing Takara's 1999 launch of the original spinning tops with interchangeable attack ring, weight disk, spin gear and blade base parts marketed as the Plastic Generation, the 1999 manga that preceded it, the 2001 anime adaptation centred on a young blader and his friends competing worldwide with creatures called Bit-Beasts, and the two sequel series Beyblade V-Force (2002) and Beyblade G-Revolution (2003).

If Every Player Uses the Same Build, Is It Still Competition?

A proposal for a two-tier competitive structure laid out dated facts about the current ruleset: WizardRod's dominance led to a temporary ban running April to November 2025, a rotating Hall of Fame system exists to manage overpowered parts, and paint restrictions arriving November 2025 were framed as reducing personalization for fairness; replies argued that using identical builds does not by itself remove competitive skill.
