Toyline · Metal Saga

Beyblade Legends

Hasbro pitched this line as a chance to relive the Metal Saga, announcing it at the 2014 American International Toy Fair and bringing it to US stores that July. Rather than new characters, it re-released tops from Metal Fusion and Metal Masters, brought Hyperblades back to shelves, and paired them with new stadiums, two-packs and a reworked Super Vortex Battle Set. Funskool carried a parallel run in India, part co-branded with Takara Tomy and part simply Hasbro stock wearing a Funskool sticker. A run of spring 2014 statements from Nelvana clarified that Original Series tops would not return and that the release slipped from a fall target to that August.
