Ripcord Launcher (Metal Saga)

Hasbro's standard launcher for the Metal Saga toyline, bundled with every Metal Saga Starter Pack. It is styled after Takara Tomy's Light Launcher, with grip indents and a hexagonal socket for a Face Bolt sticker, but its ripcord reuses the 45-tooth Original Series EZ Shooter winder mold instead of the Light Launcher's 68-tooth one, despite sharing its internal mechanism. Early releases color-coded the launcher red/yellow/green/blue by Beyblade type, a scheme dropped from Metal Masters onward.

What to know

  • Hasbro's default launcher across the Metal Saga toyline; included with every Starter Pack.
  • Styled after Takara Tomy's Light Launcher, but its ripcord uses the shorter 45-tooth Original Series EZ Shooter winder mold rather than the Light Launcher's 68-tooth winder.
  • Legend Beyblades Starter Packs originally color-coded launcher and ripcord by type: red (Attack), yellow (Defense), green (Stamina), blue (Balance); dropped starting with Metal Masters.
  • The left-spin version reuses the Original Series Dragon Winder handle shape but keeps 45 teeth.
  • Lightning L-Drago 100HF's left-spin launcher is a distinct white variant styled after Takara Tomy's BeyLauncher L.

  • The ripcord molds are reused from the Original Series EZ Shooter winders; all left-spin versions include a Dragon Winder-style handle, but at the shorter right-spin length rather than the Original Series length.
  • Removing the internal ratchet to reduce friction and boost launch power was a common casual-play modification, but was explicitly banned as illegal and would disqualify a launcher from WBBA and WBO events.
