Catalin Marin, a Canadian composer, scored the eighth season of the franchise's anime, BeyWarriors Cyborg, working from cues supplied by the d-rights and Nelvana creative teams. Speaking in a March 2014 interview, he described building an epic, sci-fi-tinged orchestral score, drawing on roughly 1,000 tracks of a personal composing template with 75 tracks for the French Horn ensemble alone. He estimated three to five hours of work per finished minute of music, drew influence from scores such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Transformers, and named Griffin and Spark as his favourite characters from the series.
