CoroCoro published the Metal Fight Beyblade Legend 4D Guide on June 25, 2011, bundling it with a hard-to-find Divine Chimera TR145FB and covering every 4D System top released up to that point, Variares D:D included, alongside recommended combos and play tips. Ahead of the guide itself, ads for the Super Control Beyblade line introduce BBC-01 Big Bang Pegasis, BBC-02 L-Drago Destroy and BBC-03 Control BeyStadium, plus a Mars Red repaint of Variares timed to the guide's release. The guide walks through the four D's, Different Material, Divided Wheel, Dynamic Drive and Deep Custom, illustrates BeyPoint Card battles such as Big Bang Pegasis against Hades Kerbecs, and reviews Big Bang Pegasis, Fang Leone and L-Drago Destroy in turn before previewing the then-unreleased Variares D:D.
