The semi-finals begin with Kyoya facing Ryuga, planning to use Leone's evasiveness to make L-Drago destroy the stadium's walls onto itself. The plan partially works, breaking off one of L-Drago's claws, but the collapsing stadium takes down both Kyoya and Ryuga, destroying Leone while Ryuga survives largely unharmed. As Kyoya is rushed to medical care, Gingka vows to defeat Ryuga, then beats Reiji's Serpent before leaving mid-battle, setting up the finals: Gingka against Ryuga.
