Fifth-grader Kenta Yumiya is saved from a beyblade-stealing gang, the Face Hunters, by mysterious blader Gingka Hagane after his Sagittario is threatened by member Benkei Hanawa. When Face Hunters leader Kyoya Tategami kidnaps Kenta to draw Gingka out, Gingka arrives at their hideout and confronts over a hundred Face Hunters at once. Launching his battle-scarred Pegasus, Gingka repels every one of their beys single-handedly, teaching them the true meaning of the Blader's Spirit.
