Spin Velocity

This is shorthand for how well a Beyblade holds its RPM through a match rather than just its starting speed. Packing weight tightly around the centre raises it, sharpening attack, defence and survival all at once, but that same compact build works against Smash Attack combos and against Defense types that need weight pushed outward to resist being knocked off course.

What to know

  • Distinct from raw starting RPM — it measures sustained spin over a battle
  • Improved by concentrating weight near the centre of the Beyblade
  • Raises attack power, resistance to knockout, and survival simultaneously
  • Trades off against Smash Attack builds and outward-weighted Defense types

  • Community comparisons treat HMS-era Beyblades as having noticeably higher spin velocity than plastic-generation tops, though that has never been measured directly.
