Own Finish Rule

Takara Tomy introduced this rule during the X Series to handle Over and Xtreme Finishes scored without the Beyblades ever making contact after launch: those get reclassified as an Own Finish, worth only 1 point to the opponent instead of the usual 2 or 3, and the battle restarts with the same Beys rather than advancing to the next round of a 3on3 or Deck Battle. Launching straight into an Over Zone or Xtreme Zone counts the same way. Sanctioned play has used it only once, at B4's 'Tobu Zoo Cup' Grade 2 event on June 15, 2024. The World Beyblade Organization adopted it for ranked play on June 10, 2024 after a proposal and poll on May 22, 2024, then made it optional rather than a core rule on February 24, 2025.
