Biography

In the manga's Big Bang Bladers arc, Zeo Abyss is a calm but morally compromised antagonist recruited by Hades Inc.'s Faust and Doji to fight alongside Damian Hart for Team USA. Knowing full well he serves a corrupt cause, he goes along for the thrill of battling, using Flame Byxis's towering height and near-invulnerability to dominate opponents from below. He faces Ginga Hagane in the finals against Team Japan, dominating with Byxis until Ginga's Star Gazer attack strikes from above and shatters Byxis in half, ending Zeo's run.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

This Zeo is tall and slim despite some muscle, with long limbs and features that stand out, plus large eyes and a smirk that seems to be his default expression. His brown hair is long, spiky and pulled into a short ponytail tipped in blonde. He wears a full-body suit plated with armour across the shoulders and down the shin from the knee, sleeves rolled up, paired with boots and fingerless gloves.

Here Zeo battles mostly for enjoyment and keeps a calm, upbeat manner, though he is also sly and willing to play dirty. He is quietly aware that the cause he serves is the wrong one, but carries on regardless because it is entertaining. He takes pleasure either in beating opponents outright or in watching a weaker blader discover just how outmatched they are.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • This version of Zeo is more overtly villainous than his anime counterpart, working knowingly for Hades Inc.
  • His Flame Byxis is described as matching Pegasus in smashing power despite being a stamina-type bey.
