Zac Kaneguro

Biography

Zac Kaneguro is a flashy pop-star blader and leader of the Super Stars, one of the Supreme Four in Beyblade Burst. Publicly he's all charisma as "Zac the Sunrise," throwing parties and moonlighting as the disguised Masked Blader to help Valt Aoi, but privately he's modest about his skill and protective of his title as the world's best. He mentors and needles Valt through the National Tournaments, briefly retires after a tense semifinal loss to him, then returns after watching Shu Kurenai and Lui Shirosagi's battle reignites his passion. He fights with Zillion Zeutron Infinity Weight.

Zac's hair is long and blond, streaked with red near the top, above light blue eyes. He wears a white shirt with a yellow stripe running down the centre, a black choker carrying a yellow Beyblade emblem, and black trousers, shoes, gloves and jacket, the jacket cinched with a red belt and marked with a yellow 'Z'. As the Masked Blader he swaps into a black-and-yellow mask fitted with light blue lenses that match his own eye colour.

Zac plays up charm and sparkle in public, but the glitz sits over a real competitive drive — he puts genuine effort into both performing and Beyblading, and pushes hardest when his standing as top blader and pop star feels threatened. For all the flash, he stays fairly modest, aware that overconfidence tips into arrogance, and he is kind enough to step in and help, as he does for Valt while posing as the Masked Blader. He clearly enjoys making his audience happy and shows a softer, playful side around Valt's younger siblings, Toko and Nika. Off stage he tries to move around in disguise, though it fools almost no one.
