Biography

Tsubasa Takaya, known as Tsubasa Takano in Japan, is a minor Beyblade X blader introduced through flashback footage, an average-height teen with long moss-green hair and a distinctive ahoge. He fights with Gale Wyvern 5-80GB, using its Xtreme Line-riding 'Swallow Flip' finisher, and his only recorded results are two flashback wins before a loss to Robin Kazami. A notable trivia point is that his gender was flipped to female for the Korean dub for unexplained reasons.

Of average height for a teenager, Tsubasa has dark grey eyes and long, moss-green hair gathered into a low ponytail, with swept bangs, a stray ahoge, and a generally tousled look to the rest of it. He dresses in an aquamarine denim jacket over a pastel-yellow button-up shirt, finished with an orange pendant, along with navy-blue skinny jeans and pastel-yellow loafers.

Naturally quiet, Tsubasa is nonetheless deeply supportive of the people around him, and when Robin Kazami first turns down his offer to try Blading he doesn't press the point, instead building a welcoming space that eventually draws Robin, and later the whole class, into the sport. He gives generously of what he has, sharing rare pieces from his own collection and even handing Robin his own Strike Hawk Beyblade just to spark his interest. The pressure of an overprotective mother leaves him with a hard time standing up for his own wants, and he tends to give in to her strict demands around training rather than push back. New to his school, he starts out shy and withdrawn but quickly warms into a gentle, kind-hearted presence among his classmates.
