Biography

Trad Vasquez is a strict, analytical BeyTrainer who advises BC Sol's leader Kristina Kuroda before eventually defecting to the American team, the Raging Bulls. Uptight and judgmental of new recruits, he distrusts Valt Aoi and Rantaro Kiyama's potential and grows increasingly frustrated as Kristina favors them and later Cuza Ackermann over other bladers. He quits BC Sol after accusing Kristina of abandoning her grandfather's traditions, though he later admits her instincts about the newer bladers were right, and quietly keeps helping her from afar. He fills a tactical-analyst role similar to Kenny or Madoka Amano but never battles himself.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

A young man with mid-toned skin and curly dark brown hair framing amber eyes, Trad layers a dark green turtleneck beneath a ruffled red shirt, topped with a black-and-gold vest. His trousers are dark brown, keeping the rest of his outfit in a similarly earthy register.

Trad carries himself with a rigid, judging edge, quick to size up new bladers against the standard he holds for BC Sol and just as quick to show disappointment when someone falls short of it. He pores over match footage on his tablet, working through opponents with a tactician's patience rather than instinct. He mirrors his boss Kristina's seriousness so closely that a teammate's laid-back attitude unsettles him, even when he ends up respecting the man anyway. As the team's fortunes slide he grows openly critical of Kristina's calls, convinced she leans on him more than she admits, and he eventually walks away rather than watch her abandon the standards her grandfather built. Time with a new team softens him, and he comes to credit Kristina with an eye for talent he once doubted.
