Biography
In the manga continuity, Tobio Oike is a small, lollipop-sucking Dark Nebula pawn recruited to help sabotage Sora Akatsuki's second Pegasus, a plot Ryuuga later scraps entirely. Persistent but expendable, he sticks close to stronger teammates like Reiji and Ryuuga rather than acting on his own. Entered into Battle Bladers, he wins an easy match against a mislaunching Hokuto, then is paired with Yu Tendo to face Ryuuga and Reiji; when he tries to betray his own side, Ryuuga eliminates him as more trouble than he is worth. His only Beyblade is the ricochet-based attack type Storm Capricorn M145Q.
Appearance and personality
What They Look Like, and How They Behave
In the manga, Tobio is small and slim, marked out by his trademark afro and an unusual overall look. A lollipop is a constant fixture in his mouth, and he wears a baggy sleeveless jacket layered over his trousers and shoes.
In the manga Tobio plays the persistent lackey, trailing behind stronger Dark Nebula members like Reiji and Ryuuga rather than leading. He can turn overactive and deceitful when dealing with enemies, and the organization still regards him as expendable despite his usefulness.

- Unlike the anime Tobio, this version never reforms — Ryuuga eliminates him outright.
- Always seen with a lollipop, mirroring his anime counterpart's quirk.
