Biography
This manga-only version of Tetsuya Watarigani is a quieter, more soft-spoken Dark Nebula recruit than his anime counterpart, enjoying provoking opponents even though his own blading skill is comparatively weak. Fielded by Doji at Battle Bladers to counter Gingka's group, he's matched against Kyoya Tategami and needles him about Benkei's earlier loss to Ryuga. Kyoya, provoked, unleashes Lion 100 Fang Fury, obliterating both the stadium and Tetsuya's Beyblade in one shot.
Appearance and personality
What They Look Like, and How They Behave
In the manga, Tetsuya cuts a tall, skinny figure with long, untamed hair and a hollow, soulless look in his eyes. He wears a large-collared shirt beneath a torn cape that leaves only the collar exposed, and underneath that a long-sleeved undershirt tucked into jeans with ripped hems that fall over his sneakers.
In the manga Tetsuya operates as a quietly devious member of Dark Nebula, at home among their schemes despite being regarded as one of the group's lesser threats because of his weak blading. He gets his kicks needling his opponents, a habit that keeps landing him in trouble.
