Spryzen

Biography

Spryzen, known as Spriggan in Japan, is Shu Kurenai's Beyblade avatar, and its corrupted "Spryzen Requiem" form served as the main antagonist of Beyblade Burst Evolution. It evolves visually from a hulking orc-like brute into sleeker, armored dragon-warrior forms across Legend, Requiem, Turbo, and World versions, always wielding an axe-style weapon marked with its "S" emblem. Its personality is inferred through Shu: power-hungry and hostile while dominating him, then more benevolent once Shu breaks free and the Bey is upgraded to Turbo.

Spryzen's spirit avatar begins as a hulking orc-like figure with yellow eyes, red-and-yellow skin, twin horns, a blond mane and orange armor, wielding a double-bladed axe shaped like an 'S'. As Legend Spryzen it slims down, grows wings and a longer tail, and trades its axe for a golden halberd; Spryzen Requiem repeats that look in white and gold with sea-green medallions. Turbo Spryzen returns to a heavier build with a five-horned crown, pink gemstones and a scar over the right eye, while World Spryzen slims again into red-and-orange armor with segmented wings and an 'X' medallion echoing the Spriggan Superking chip.

Nothing about Spryzen's own temperament is confirmed, since it has no voice of its own, though the way it takes over Shu Kurenai while channeling Spriggan Requiem offers a hint: power-hungry, aggressive and openly hostile, the reverse of Shu's usual manner. Once Shu breaks free of that control, the community reasons that Spryzen settles into a more benevolent state, a shift that seems to hold once it becomes Turbo Spryzen.
