Ryota Kurogami

Biography

Ryota Kurogami is the hospitalized younger brother of Daigo Kurogami, a cheerful, optimistic kid who idolizes his big brother and dreams of Beyblading with him despite his unnamed illness. He forms a warm bond with Ken Midori, who visits and teaches him puppetry, and admires Shu Kurenai, who once shields him from the truth about Daigo's loss to protect his feelings. He briefly reappears in a flashback during Beyblade Burst Evolution.

Ryota has black hair and purple eyes. While he's a patient in hospital he's dressed in light green pajamas, but out in the world he wears blue overalls and shorts over an orange shirt. Where his brother ties his hair back with a bandana, Ryota's simply sticks up by itself.

Ryota shares the cheerful, playful streak found in Toko and Nika Aoi, staying optimistic even while dealing with his illness. He looks up to his older brother Daigo with real admiration and is always eager to beyblade alongside him. When Daigo gets the chance to join the French team AS Gallus, Ryota's first instinct is to hold him back, afraid of losing the time they spend together, but he ultimately sets that fear aside and encourages his brother to chase the opportunity.
