Biography

Reiyu Kuwabara serves as the personal butler to team leader Karla Konjiki on team Gordias in Beyblade X, battling with the Unique Line Beyblade Circle Ghost. Officially described as a self-professed terrible butler with an otherwise chaotic private life, she uses a rationalized version of the occult to hypnotize people by dressing it up as a curse, and suffers from a chronic low body temperature. Karla recruited her specifically for how interesting she found her unconventional approach.

Appearance

What They Look Like

Reiyu has long blue hair, her bangs covering her left eye, and in her casual outfit it braids around the back of her head. Her eyes are magenta with flames inside them, and small fangs show past her lips. She wears a grey long-sleeved button-up shirt, a black tie lined in orange and knotted under a skull ornament, tucked into light-grey trousers with the right leg cut off above the knee to expose a black-and-blue striped sleeve, cinched with a black belt patterned in orange waves. Black high-heeled boots with three orange-buckled straps and grey soles finish the look, along with two bags on her left leg, a larger skull-faced one at the hip and a smaller one on the thigh.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • Given name Reiyu is an anagram of the kanji for 'ghost' (幽霊).
  • Family name Kuwabara likely references the protective phrase 'kuwabara kuwabara,' said to ward off lightning.
  • Online username 'Zeroyu' puns on reading the number zero as 'rei.'
