Reiji Mizuchi (Manga)

Biography

This manga-continuity version of Reiji Mizuchi is a sadistic, silent Dark Nebula enforcer, second only to Ryuuga, tasked with helping destroy Pegasus during the Battle Bladers tournament. He shows no mercy toward weaker allies, is willing to sacrifice fellow Dark Nebula grunt Tobio without hesitation, and defers completely to Ryuuga's orders even when it costs him a fight. After coasting through an early forfeit win, he's ultimately defeated by an enraged Ginga Hagane in the semifinals, closing out his manga role.

In the manga, Reiji is slim and bony, with snake-like facial features, sharply angled eyes and a long mouth that usually hangs open with his tongue out. His medium-length orange hair falls forward as bangs across his eyes. He wears a large shirt with an open collar and a wide band crossing his chest, along with tight jeans that flare out at the shin and drape over his shoes.

In the manga, Reiji comes across as sadistic and silent, speaking only once a battle gets underway. He fights strong opponents to prove his own worth and crush them outright, and he has no patience for weaker bladers, disposing of them without a second thought even when they are meant to be allies. Toward Ryuuga, though, he shows real loyalty, going as far as forfeiting a battle with Sora simply because Ryuuga told him to.
