Biography

Orochi Ginba, son of a famous conductor, is a quiet, music-loving blader whose exceptional hearing lets him sense a Burst Finish before it happens, earning him the nickname 'The Boy With The Perfect Ears.' After reaching the semi-finals of the District Tournament and losing to Valt in the Area Selection, he joins Zac's team, the Super Stars, helping train Zac while developing genuine curiosity about Valt's style and a respectful rivalry with Shu Kurenai.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Fair skin, dark blue eyes and dreadlocked brown hair make up Ginba's look, and blue dominates his wardrobe: a dark blue jacket with a row of piano keys along the zipper and its sleeves pushed up, layered over a light blue v-neck top, paired with loose-fitting blue trousers that run to the ankle and carry a scattering of studs. White sneakers finish the outfit. He keeps a set of white, grey and black wireless headphones looped around his neck whenever he isn't actually listening through them, and wears four silver rings, one on each index finger and each ring finger.

Music runs through everything about Ginba, unsurprising for the son of a renowned orchestra conductor: he is rarely without his headphones and tends to slip musical phrasing into ordinary conversation. Otherwise he keeps to himself, coming across as quiet and withdrawn rather than outgoing. His hearing is remarkably precise — he has perfect pitch and can pick up on a Burst Finish an instant before it happens, a knack that earns him the nickname 'the boy with the perfect ears' among those around him. Underneath the reserve he is genuinely kind-hearted, stepping in to help Toko and Nika Aoi, including freeing Nika after she locked herself in a room by accident.

  • Stamina 8/10
  • Technique 8/10

His perfect hearing lets him read a burst before it comes and he even beat Zac once, yet Shu, Valt and Gabe all outclassed him.
