Mawashi

Biography

Mawashi is a monkey deity exclusive to the Metal Fight Beyblade manga, tasked with watching over the human world's Pegasus and L-Drago Beyblades. When L-Drago destroys Pegasus, Gingka and friends seek him out in the Beyblade forest; disguised as an ordinary monkey, he tests them with his own stone-made Bey, easily beating a dismissive Kyoya before losing to Gingka's makeshift wooden Pegasus. Judging Gingka worthy, Mawashi leads him to the birthplace of both Beys, where Pegasus's facebolt is reforged into the new Storm Pegasus 105RF after Gingka survives an ordeal on a frozen mountain.

Disguised, Mawashi passes for an unremarkable monkey, covered in dark fur with a large snout and small eyes. Dropping the disguise reveals his true form as a deity, dressed in a tall hat and a traditional robe, the hat marked with the kanji for 'god'.

Mawashi carries himself as strict but good-natured, extending his help only to those he judges deserve it. He has kept watch over Pegasus and L-Drago in the human world, and the destruction of Pegasus by L-Drago's darker powers leaves him visibly shaken.
