Biography

Mariko Shiratori is the secondary protagonist of the Beyblade: Metal Fusion - Battle Fortress video game, daughter of the scientist who built the flying fortress and secretly a Blader herself. Initially observing Gingka and hiding her true nature, she has a change of heart after watching him battle and eventually joins his team against her father, Hellbeyd. Her Beyblade, Inferno Cygzas 125B, holds memories of her late mother, echoing Hikaru Hasama's similar attachment. Kenta develops a crush on her over the course of the story.

Mariko keeps her hair short and dyed a deep magenta, topped with a green poker-style cap. Her crop top is purple, branded 'Cygzas' across the chest, with a single feather pinned to the left side. She pairs it with near-black blue gloves and pale blue trousers striped red down the outer seam. White heeled shoes finish the look, one strap left undone, and a necklace strung with blue beads sits at her throat.

Mariko starts out posing as someone outside the beyblading world, though she actually knows the fortress inside and out since her father built it. She goes along with his scheme to dominate the sport, keeping her own blading skill secret from the rest of the cast while nursing plans of her own. Watching Gingka battle shifts her view of what her father is doing. When she finally squares off against him herself, grief over her beyblade unsettles her, since it carries memories of her mother — a feeling another blader shares. Kenta, for his part, is smitten with her.
