Biography

Lantz Roji, known as Rantz Roji in Japan, is the calculating secondary antagonist of Beyblade X's second season. A former top disciple of the Shiroboshi School who followed his idol Omega into the rebel team Zodiac after her banishment, he's arrogant, highly composed, and devoted to Omega even against her own wishes. He fights with Dark Perseus, a homage to Julian Konzern's Metal Saga bey. His rivalry with Robin Kazami drives much of his arc: he initially throws a match to insult Robin, only to be forced to a draw and grow to respect him as a genuine rival.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Tall, with light blond hair and blue eyes, he wears glasses set with a diamond at the bridge, their temples curving fully around his head. His shirt is black and button-up, long-sleeved, with diamond patterns worked into the collar and cuffs, paired with a black belt, light blue trousers and black shoes. A red glove covers his left hand, concealing a snake-shaped accessory beneath the sleeve — a nod to Medusa's serpent hair — while his right hand carries three diamond-shaped rings across the index, middle and ring fingers. For anime battles he layers on a blue dress shirt, a blue tie and a black coat lined in blue.

Pride runs deep in him, tipping into arrogance and overconfidence, though it rests on real substance: hard work and talent make him a calculating, composed competitor who rarely seems rattled. That composure has a limit, though — when his careful predictions about a match fail to hold up, as happened against Robin, frustration breaks through and the calm slips.

Composed enough to hold Jaxon to a draw and beat the masked Ciel with Dark Perseus, but his arrogance gifts Robin a win and a rivalry.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • He's the third character, after Khrome Ryugu and Omega Shiroboshi, whose Beyblade name pays homage to a prior-generation motif.
  • He's the first character shown using a purple-recolored Long Winder launcher part.
  • He's framed as a narrative foil to Robin: both talented in school and drawn into Beyblading by someone else, but opposite in humility.
