Biography

Laban Vanot is a member of the African "Turbo 4" team in Beyblade Burst Turbo, battling with the wildcat-styled Vice Leopard. Short, tan-skinned, and dressed in Egyptian-inspired gold and blue, he shares Aiger Akabane's competitive, easygoing energy and adds his own gift for animal communication and stone-based fortune-telling. His launching style is wild and catlike, matching his personality. Vice Leopard is destroyed by Phi mid-series but later repaired, making Laban one of the few Burst characters whose original bey survives rather than being replaced outright by an upgraded one.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Short in stature with tanned skin, he wears his dark-blue hair wild and unruly, with pale teal-blue markings tracing the skin beneath his lime-green eyes. His look draws on Egyptian styling: a broad gold-and-silver collar banded in cerulean, blue cord wound around his ribs and knotted at the back, a golden armband on each bicep, and a golden belt holding a gold-trimmed blue-and-white kilt over electric-blue trousers. Brown shoes with ankle collars finish the outfit, each one cut open across the top to show the bridge of his foot.

Much like Aiger Akabane, he throws himself at any challenger without hesitation and makes friends with little effort. A gift for reading stones lets him glimpse what is coming, a trick he puts to use during Beyblade Burst Turbo, and he can hold something like a conversation with animals, shown when he communicates with a leopard and a lizard. Even the way he launches carries that same wild, feline energy.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • He is the second blader after Ozuma to use a Leopard-based Beyblade.
  • Like Ren Wu Sun, his feline-themed bey came from a random booster pack rather than a starter set.
  • His initials match his bey's name, Vice Leopard, a trait shared with three other Turbo characters.
  • His zodiac sign is Leo, fitting his big-cat theme.
