Biography

Keru and Besu are the two hand puppets Ken Midori wears to compensate for his shyness, each embodying a different half of his personality and together giving his Beyblade, King Kerbeus, its name. Blue, sharp-toothed Keru voices Ken's blunter, more aggressive side and typically holds his Beyblade during launches, while brown, floppy-eared Besu channels his gentler humor and comfort for others. Besu was torn apart by a possessed Shu Kurenai during Beyblade Burst Evolution but was later repaired, restoring Ken's full emotional toolkit.

Appearance

What They Look Like

Blue in colour, Keru carries pointed ears and teeth with a fixed aggressive expression, and Ken often holds his Bey, Kerbeus, in Keru's mouth while speaking through him. Besu takes the opposite look, brown-coloured with floppy ears, square teeth, crossed eyes and a distinctly goofier face. At one point during Beyblade Burst Evolution, Shu Kurenai — then under Spryzen Requiem's influence — tore Besu, though the puppet was later repaired.
