Biography

Karla Konjiki, called Karura Konjiki in Japan, is the flamboyant heiress to Gordias Fine Jewellery and leader of Team Gordias in Beyblade X. Loud, self-assured, and quick to accuse opponents of cheating, she has declared herself the fiancee of star Blader Blaze Fujiwara after one meeting and dreams of merging her family's business with Yggdrasil Pharmaceuticals to dominate the market. Her butler-teammate Iwao keeps her in line when her outbursts threaten her image as Gordias's heir, and she wields the dragon-motif Scarlet Garuda, a deliberate homage to Kai Hiwatari's Dranzer.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Small in build, Karla has red eyes whose diamond-shaped pupils run yellow on the outside and white within, and hair mixing red, green and blue, worn in twin drills fixed with diamond-shaped bobbles. In battle those drills fan out like a bird's wings. She dresses in a long-sleeved white button shirt trimmed in gold, centred on a gold diamond-shaped gem, over a green skirt whose red and blue ruffles echo feathers; underneath she wears grey trousers with gold trim and yellow sneakers with black soles.

Karla punctuates her sentences with "I say!" and reacts to anything she reads as unfair play with open outrage, as when she accused Tenka of tricking her during their Star Battle; her butler Iwao then reminds her of her duty as heir to Gordias, or has servants remove her outright. She holds Blaze Fujiwara in high regard, to the point of treating him as her intended fiancé.

Scarlet Garuda's aggression sweeps Robin and even Blaze, but her bluster does nothing against Yoko, Four Cross or One Cross.
