Biography

Kana Akabane, called Kanna Akaba in Japan, is the calm, supportive mother of protagonist Aiger Akabane and his sister Naru in Beyblade Burst Turbo. Living on the family farm, she encourages her children's independence, going so far as pushing her husband Taiga to build Aiger a proper Turbo Beyblade and to send him off to Beigoma Academy. Easygoing even when Valt Aoi's visit ends in a broken roof, she stays a steady, encouraging presence rather than a disciplinarian throughout her limited appearances.

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Kana lets her long orange hair, streaked with peach highlights, fall in a braid down one side. Her outfit is a button-down red-checked flannel shirt paired with mint-green jeans and tan boots, and she sometimes carries a straw hat slung across her back.

A calm and caring presence, Kana raises her children toward independence rather than sheltering them, which is why she allowed Aiger and Naru to join the Beigoma Academy. She pitches in wherever she can, even handing Aiger a disc and driver for his Turbo Beyblade. Anger rarely surfaces in her — she did not scold Valt even after he broke through their roof.
