Biography

Joshua Burns, known as Joshua Boon in Japan, is a famous Hollywood actor and member of the elite Big Five who serves as captain of the Raging Bulls in Beyblade Burst Evolution, and is Karina Burns' younger brother. Flashy, prideful, and unafraid to bend movie scripts or recast roles to suit himself, he casts fellow bladers into his action films while chasing continued relevance as a top-ranked competitor. He wins several matches with Blast Jinnius 5Glaive Guard's Cyclone-themed special moves but loses a tense, three-round World League battle to Valt Aoi and later falls to Silas Karlisle, dropping from third to tenth in the world rankings.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Tan-skinned and green-eyed, Joshua wears his black hair ruffled and curled so that it covers one eye, with a birthmark sitting beneath the other. His usual look is a white formal announcer's suit with gold buttons, worn over a blue work shirt and yellow tie, with a gold letter-J badge pinned to the left side. When he goes undercover, he swaps that for a white-and-blue baseball cap to hide his hair, a green shirt and dark green overalls striped in blue.

Much like Zac before him, Joshua is a flashy celebrity blader who thrives on attention and treats winning as part of the show. His showmanship carries from the camera into everyday behaviour, and beneath the fun exterior sits real drive and pride, pushing him to chase being the best even at the cost of his composure. He's bold enough to ignore direction he dislikes, rewriting his own movies' scripts and recasting roles — turning Kristina Kuroda from villain to princess in one production. That confidence tips into rudeness at times, such as when he waves off Wakiya Murasaki's invitation to join Sunbat United as beneath a superstar. He also leans on his fame to steer others, agreeing to captain the Raging Bulls again for Theodore Glass despite earlier wanting off the team.

His Cyclone wall and counter moves make him a genuine Big Five defender, but he keeps losing the deciders to Valt, Silas and Lui.
