Biography

Hokuto is a talking white dog and the guardian of Koma Village, first appearing in Beyblade: Metal Fusion as Hyoma's pet and a lifelong friend of Gingka Hagane. Gruff but soft for Madoka Amano's affection, he warns off outsiders and knows more about the village's history than even Hyoma lets on. In the manga, he initially hides his identity under a cloak, uses a Launcher Grip to battle with his Libra DF145BS, and is disqualified from Battle Bladers purely for being a dog rather than losing a match.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

A white dog wearing a headband is the core of his look, though the details shift between versions: the manga gives him an orange headband marked with the Libra symbol and a blue cape, while the anime keeps things simpler with a plain black headband. His paws and the insides of his ears are both green.

Though he belongs to Koma Village as a whole, his real bond is with Hyoma, and he carries himself with an unusual seriousness for a dog. Despite that solemn streak, he takes a clear liking to Madoka.

A dog with a launcher grip: his manga matches are a loss to Busujima and a mislaunch, though guarding Koma Village shows real heart.
