Biography

Hoji Konda is a gentle, loyal supporting character in Beyblade Burst and Wakiya Murasaki's best friend and training partner, the two having met through their fathers' business connection. Eldest of five siblings, Hoji is dependable and often the one who talks Wakiya down after emotional losses, most memorably after Wakiya's defeat to Shu Kurenai. He fights with Hyper Horusood Upper Claw, switching between forehand and backhand launch grips, and posts a mixed record against opponents including Valt Aoi and Zac Kaneguro.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Curly dark brown hair and eyes of the same shade give him a warm, earthy look. Day to day he wears a collared T-shirt split between black and red over an orange undershirt, paired with a set of blue overalls and a pair of tan cowboy boots.

Gentleness and honesty define him, and his loyalty to Wakiya rarely wavers. Confidence is not always there, though — at one point he tries to bow out of a match against Valt Aoi, convinced Wakiya had just called him weak. Even so, he can be remarkably determined once he sets his mind on something, and he is usually the calm one in his friendship with Wakiya, talking him down when his temper flares. Being the oldest among his siblings, he has grown into a responsible figure who gets on easily with younger children.
