Biography

Gabe Brunai, known as Gou Chagake in Japan, is the level-headed captain of Rideout in Beyblade Burst, fighting with Giga Gaianon Quarter Fusion. He is one of the few bladers Lui Shirosagi genuinely respects, often mediating between Lui and the rest of the team, and holds his teammates to a high standard while still supporting them. He defeats Orochi Ginba and Daigo Kurogami but loses to Zac and later to Lui himself in a lopsided tag battle during the story's later stages.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Like Xander, Gabe is tall and heavily built, with spiky brown hair and black eyes. He typically wears a black-and-orange vest, dark red trousers and black boots, with a red sweatshirt usually knotted around his waist rather than worn. An orange wristband sits on his left wrist, and a yellow pendant hangs at his neck.

Calm and level-headed, Gabe holds both Lui and his other teammates in high regard while taking clear pride in his own strength. He admires Lui without letting that admiration soften his own effort in battle. As Rideout's leader he pushes everyone to give their all and will call out a flaw bluntly, as when he tells Kyo his launch is sloppy, and the team respects him deeply for it. Being one of the few bladers Lui actually respects, he often steps in to smooth things over between Lui and the rest of the team, generally deferring to Lui's calls while still nudging him to watch others battle or take on certain opponents.
