Biography

Doug, called Dolji in Japanese, is a minor Spin Shephards team member from the Original Series' Asian Tournament arc. His purple Beyblade is wrapped in wool that looks purely decorative but actually functions as a shock absorber, letting his Wool Defense move soak up even powerful attacks and redirect that energy back at opponents. Despite this gimmick, he loses his one shown battle against Mariah of the White Tigers, which destroys his Bey. He resurfaces briefly, unseen actively supporting Tyson, in the series finale.

The wool padding is built to absorb heavy hits, but Mariah's speed tore through it and destroyed his Beyblade in his only shown match.

What we checked

What is on record for Doug is thin, so we went looking elsewhere rather than padding this page. These are the collections we searched, and none of them had anything to add:

  • our toy database of every Beyblade and part
  • every episode of every series
  • the World Beyblade Organization's archived forums and Beywiki drafts
  • Takara Tomy's and beyblade.jp's own pages
  • Wikipedia in English and Japanese
  • beyblade.com
  • collectors' measurements of the parts
  • the tournament, testing, news and fake-check records already on this site

The Blader Profile is our own reading of how the character performs on screen or on the page, not a figure from the makers.
