Devolos

Biography

Devolos, called Diabolos in Japan, is the demonic Bey spirit bonded to Delta Zakuro in Beyblade Burst Rise. Initially a menacing four-eyed, magma-skinned creature that demands Delta keep fighting to devour opponents' Bey light, he appears to Delta in a nightmarish red-and-black dreamscape, acting as a shoulder-devil pushing him toward arrogance and destruction. After Erase Devolos is shattered by Arthur Peregrine and rebuilt as Master Devolos, his design brightens to crimson and gold and his dreamscape shifts to a heavenly red-and-yellow sky, mirroring a personality shift toward benevolence that echoes the bond between Dante and his own avatar, Dragon.

Modelled on a demonic, bipedal creature, Devolos carries four-clawed limbs, dark-red skin that glows like magma under seal-brown armour plating, four back spikes trailing flaming wings, and a tail tipped with flame. Four green eyes sit beneath a pair of curving orange horns, with further orange spikes along the neck and arms, blue orbs set into the chest and crown, and a heavy spike on each shoulder. After evolving into Master Devolos, the red deepens to crimson and the magma-toned skin turns yellow; the eyes multiply to six, golden metal forms a mandible and side horns, a gem-set golden crest appears on the forehead, the chest gains a third blue orb per side, gold armour covers the hips, and the back spikes turn yellow-gold and foldable while the wings shift to blue and red.

Where Dragon pushes Dante toward growth through encouragement, Devolos drives Delta the opposite way, pressing him to keep fighting even after a win and to consume the defeated Bey's light rather than simply claim victory. That hunger fades once it's destroyed and reborn as Master Devolos — the same entity returns noticeably gentler, its old fixation on devouring other Beys' light largely gone.
