Dan Sodo is the more mature, defensively-minded half of the Sodo twins, former Dark Nebula grunts in Metal Fusion who share the combo Beyblade Evil Gemios DF145FS with younger twin Reiki. Arrogant and bossy, he coordinates their joint attacks and blames Reiki whenever plans fail, but the pair's chemistry falters against Kenta Yumiya and Tsubasa Otori, and both are ultimately drained by Ryuga's L-Drago before being freed by Gingka's victory. Dan later fails Japan's selection matches in Metal Masters and cameos giving Gingka his power against Nemesis in Metal Fury.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

As Reiki's twin, he shares an obvious resemblance, though his medium-length orange hair — worn with three-spiked eyebrows to match — runs a shade lighter and is combed the opposite way. He's slim and athletic, with dark blue eyes. A red, sleeveless, high-collared jacket, trimmed in grey along its edges and front, sits over a grey-white tank top; grey-white fingerless gloves reach past his elbows and finish in a red band. Two belts cross his waist, one brown with a silver rectangular buckle and one red with an oval buckle that holds his launcher, above black trousers with silver buttons and thigh pockets. Short brown boots with grey soles and a grey front patch complete the outfit.

He carries himself as the mature one of the pair, though that maturity shades quickly into arrogance. In battle he's content to wait and let an opponent strike first, but off the field he's quick to direct his twin, telling him when and how to act in a way that grates on Reiki. He isn't shy about placing blame either, pinning losses on his brother's mistakes and dismissing him as unskilled, and he brooks no argument once he's decided something. The show frames him as the sharper blader of the two, since his brother's impatience is what costs them wins he insists were otherwise theirs.
