Biography

Daigo Kurogami is a cool, dark-toned Beyblade Burst rival-turned-ally who becomes leader of France's AS Gallus after starting as a Beigoma Academy BeyClub member fighting with Doomscizor. Protective of younger brother Ryota and haunted by once using an illegal launch against Yugo Nansui, he briefly quits Beyblading before Shu talks him back into it, later resurfacing as a Legendary Blader with Hollow Doomscizor in the Surge manga. Observant and fair, he mediates conflicts between Rantaro and Wakiya, defends Jin Aizawa's honesty, and stays loyal to the BeyClub even after most other members move on.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Pale skin and dark, shadowed eyes sit under spiky black hair, kept back with a red bandana. His jacket is black with purple stripes and red flame patterns, worn over an orange t-shirt with black trousers and boots. Skull motifs run through his look — a belt buckle, a necklace, and two multicoloured skull bead chains hanging from the bandana — echoing the Grim Reaper theme of his Bey, Doomscizor. His expression defaults to a frown, though he allows himself more smiles as the story goes on.

Behind his cool, guarded surface, Daigo keeps a calm head and rarely lets his feelings show, yet he reads opponents shrewdly, spotting potential in bladers others dismiss. Alongside Shu he anchors the group, talking sense into Valt and the others, and he steps in to calm Rantaro and Wakiya whenever they clash. A hidden gentleness surfaces once his family troubles come out, and joining the club loosens him into someone friendlier and more expressive. Past brushes with dishonesty left him with little patience for cheats, and guilt over his own mistakes once drove him to quit blading before a friend talked him back. Loyalty runs deep — he stays when teammates leave — and sheer passion for the sport eventually earns him a leadership role.
