Biography

Boa Alcazaba is a Mexican Blader trained in the Snake Pit Organization in Beyblade Burst Evolution, idolizing the masked Red Eye and pushing himself past his limits to earn Arc Balkesh, a left-spinning defense Bey. Ambitious and self-reliant to a fault, he resents being anyone's tool, openly questions leader Ashtem, and initially scorns Valt Aoi as weak. After Valt defeats him at the International Blader's Cup and stops him from discarding his Bey in despair, Boa has a change of heart, leaves the Snake Pit, warns Valt about Ashtem's true identity, and becomes a genuine friend and rival.

Appearance and personality

What They Look Like, and How They Behave

Mid-sized, with frizzy light brown hair and emerald-green eyes, Boa gains a scar across the bridge of his nose from Episode 27 onward. Over the standard Snake Pit training uniform of black shirt and dark green khakis, cinched with a red belt, he wears a ripped dark blue poncho, along with black-and-navy high-top shoes. When he battles, a leather strap holds his launcher against his leg.

Ambitious and stubbornly self-directed, Boa pushes himself through brutal training even to the point of near collapse, and as he climbs the Snake Pit ranks he starts openly challenging Ashtem, refusing to be anyone's tool. Outside training he is generally polite and composed, losing that calm only around the enigmatic Red Eye. Raised to trust nothing but his own strength, he initially scorns the idea of friendship, sneering at Valt's concern for Shu. Losing to Valt at the International Blader's Cup shakes that belief badly — he even tries to discard his own Bey — but Valt's persistence slowly wins him over, and Boa comes to respect him as both friend and rival, revealing a gentler side.

Claims We Could Not Check

  • His name references the boa constrictor; his Japanese surname Alcacer derives from the Spanish "alcazar" (castle/fort), fitting his Defense-Type Bey.
  • In the Superking manga he's ranked the world's 18th-best Blader (A-Tier rank 3).
  • His blood type, AB, is presented as a nod to his Bey's name, Arc Balkesh.
  • He's one of twelve Evolution-era characters whose initials match their Bey's, a pattern shared with Free De La Hoya and Cuza Ackermann, among others.
