Team Excalibur's Julian Konzern steps in alone to face Team Desert Blaze in the opening match of a Big Bang Bladers round, offering to concede his whole team's spot if Gasur can land even one clean win against him. Gasur's Storm Northern Cross opens with a barrage of side hits and diving attacks that leave Gravity Destroyer visibly unmarked, prompting Madoka to note that the top's Energy Ring is shielding its Fusion Wheel the way a helmet would. Irritated by what he calls Storm Northern Cross's clumsy rhythm, Julian shifts Gravity Destroyer into its Counter Mode, nicknamed the Eyes of Medusa, freezes his opponent's top in place, and ends the match with a single direct hit that sends it out of the stadium.
