  • Winder - standard short ripcord, 45 teeth at 3mm pitch; generally outclassed by Dragon Winders
  • Dragon Winder - the long-format ripcord considered the competitive standard, 68 teeth at 3mm pitch; SonoKong-made copies can be slightly narrower and more prone to skipping
  • Dragon Winder (Reversed) - the same as the Dragon Winder but with the head flipped for correct orientation in Neo Reverse Shooters, 68 teeth at 3mm pitch
  • Neo Dragon Winder - a Dragon Winder with a modernized head rotated 90 degrees for a more comfortable pull, 68 teeth at 3mm pitch; Three Kingdoms RC releases can be slightly narrower and more skip-prone
  • Spring Winder - a Neo Dragon Winder-style handle with an added anti-breakage spring section, but physically shorter than a true Dragon Winder and correspondingly weaker, 57 teeth at 3mm pitch
  • BeyUltimate Winder - a unique thick, long, small-pitch ripcord exclusive to the BeyUltimate Shooter line, giving very high power and durability, 106 teeth at 2mm pitch
  • HMS G Winder - the thicker HMS-generation winder, usable in plastics only via the HMS Double Shooter; long and smooth with strong torque, 58 teeth at 3mm pitch
  • MFB Light Launcher 1 Winder - the standard first-season Metal Fight Beyblade winder, functionally equivalent to a Dragon Winder with a ring-shaped head and a reinforced handle joint, 68 teeth at 3mm pitch
  • Hasbro MFB "Bastard" Dragon Winder - a Dragon Winder head grafted onto a standard short-winder body, otherwise a standard short winder with a more comfortable handle, 45 teeth at 3mm pitch
  • Winder Grip - a rubber comfort accessory (releases A-73 blue, A-74 black) compatible with any standard-launcher winder

What It Is

A catalog of the ripcords ("winders") used to power plastics-generation launchers, spanning the short stock Winder, the long-format Dragon Winder family, several specialty or cross-generation winders, and one comfort accessory (the Winder Grip).

How It Launches

Longer winders with more teeth generally provide more rotations and higher launch power. The standard short Winder (45 teeth) is the weakest option; the Dragon Winder family (68 teeth) is treated as the competitive standard; the BeyUltimate Winder (106 teeth, 2mm pitch) is unique to the BeyUltimate Shooter line and gives the highest power; the Spring Winder (57 teeth) looks similar to a Dragon Winder-style handle but is physically shorter and underperforms it.

Rotation counts are given with the winder they were measured with; a different winder gives a different figure.

What It Fits

Winders are generally interchangeable across standard-gear shooters (EZShooter-type launchers), while a few - the BeyUltimate Winder and HMS G Winder - are exclusive to their matching launcher (the BeyUltimate Shooter and HMS Double Shooter respectively).

Spin and gear teeth are given only where they are stated outright; the table leaves a figure blank rather than infer one.
